The
house is nestled in the heart of Tyne Valley, with long views of Trout River, and over 3 acres of gardens and forest to explore.
Our property is bordered to the South by Trout river, a tidal river that empties into Malpeque Bay approximately 4 miles North at Lennox Island. Surrounded Malpeque Bay, Lennox Island offers walking trails, sea kayaking, deep sea fishing, shopping at authentic Native craft shops as well as Prince Edward Island’s only aboriginal history museum.
The
immediate area has lots of attractions, including the Tyne Valley Oyster Festival, hosted in our tiny community every August. Right around the corner from the BnB is "The Landing" oyster house and pub restaurant where visitors can join in the fun at Thursday Night Trivia, or take in an evening of live music Fridays and Saturdays starting at 8pm. Just 5 minutes drive away is Green Park Shipbuilding Museum and Historic Yeo House. Also in the neighbourhood are Bideford Parsonage Museum and the PEI Shellfish Museum.
To the North West of Tyne Valley, you'll find lovely beaches, golf courses, fishing communities, cycling trails, windfarms, and lighthouses.
To the East, Summerside and Charlottetown, and their abundance of historical and cultural attractions, are only 35 to 75 minutes car drive away, respectively.
